Dorking

A covid project. Neil worked with architects and specialist consultants to obtain planning permission in the sensitive Surrey countryside.

The site had existing old farm buildings with asbestos roofs, the vision was to create a new professional yard to house up to 20 horses with an arena, horse walker, round pen, turn out pens and a functional American barn to house all the facilities under one roof. The roof also needed to have a large number of photo voltaic cells to provide an electricity supply to run the house and yard.

This was a big project during a global pandemic so not only did it take longer than usual 12 months, but the logistics were made that bit more complex. Never the less the team pulled off a magnificent result.

The demolition and restructuring of the existing buildings was a big part of the project. Once complete, the vision of what was to come was much clearer. The end result was a smart, efficient, professional yard to house happy horses and riders.
